Create and Send a Port Order

12min

Introduction

Export shipments leaving the country via sea transportation necessitate customs clearance before departure. Our system provides a convenient Port Order feature to facilitate this process for the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, and Antwerp.

An Export Port Order has two components: the presentation notification and the port data record. The presentation notification includes specific information for Customs purposes, while the port data record transmits the relevant information to Customs.

Conditions

  • A route with all the information on the shipping line's booking and the cargo details must exist.
  • At least one Bill of Lading (BL) must have been created.
  • Ensure that the Port of Loading is the correct one for the type of declaration you want.
  • Ensure that you have selected the correct Declaration Type.
  • It is possible to create only one port order within each maritime route, but it is possible to have multiple routes within the same booking and therefore multiple port orders as well.
