Manage Options
For practical purposes, it is sometimes important to include multiple shipping scenarios within a single quotation. These scenarios are referred to as "quotation options."
For example, a small shipment that is not time-sensitive can allow consideration of both LCL and airfreight shipping options or an FCL shipment that can depart from either port X or port Y.
Logic facilitates the management of these situations by grouping charges into options and calculating the profit for each enabling clients to easily compare and make decisions.
- An existing quotation is required in order to start adding charges and grouping them into options.
Options enable me to incorporate multiple scenarios within a single quotation.
Each option has its own profit calculation, simplifying the selection of the most profitable option.
The decision to include or exclude a specific option in the quotation can be made without the need to remove it from calculations.
