How to create an Export Declaraction (ABD)

4min

Introduction

The ABD (Ausfuhrbegleitdokument) function in Logic TMS enables users to generate an export declaration document, a crucial element in the export dispatch process. This feature is tailored for shippers, facilitating legal representation and export documentation in compliance with international trade regulations.

Conditions

  • The shipper must provide a notarized power of attorney to authorize Schryver as their legal representative for creating the ABD.
  • The booking must be created in the TMS with a maritime or air freight route.
  • Preferably, the commercial invoice should be available as it includes essential details like buyer, seller, merchandise value, and description.
  • Possession of the packing list is recommended for details on the merchandise being sold, such as quantity, packaging, and gross weight.
  • Certain goods (e.g., alcohol, food) may require specific additional documents or certifications.
  • The merchandise must be ready or have a known readiness date at the shipper's warehouse for customs inspection.
